Local CTAs: Localizing Your Brand Drive Traffic/Sales

Local CTAs, Burkhart CTA

Do you want to have customers come to your storefront? Should they call or email you? While this may seem obvious to you, if you want your customers to do something, you need to ask them. A CTA, or call to action, is necessary to drive traffic and sales.

What is Your CTA?

Before marketing something to your audience, you must have in mind what you are wanting them to take away from it. Throwing a bunch of information at someone and not telling them what to do with it will rarely bring you success. Know your why for advertising your company.

If it’s a new product, perhaps your CTA is to hurry to your store or website to purchase it. A consulting company may want their audience to call them for more information. Some CTAs are even more simple than this… For example, many newsletters simply call their viewers to be more informed and offer a place to put contact information. WordStream offers ideas on what potential CTAs could be.

Make It Simple

If you ask your audience to jump through hoops, chances are they will find an easier solution. Your CTA should be simple enough that customers can easily act upon it and you can open the door to potential business with them. If you need more from them, ask for it after your original CTA. The door must be opened in order for consumers to be willing to comply.

Localize Your Brand

Knowing who you are asking to follow your CTA is essential. Asking every person who may come across your brand to buy into it is too big of an ask. Slim down your target audience to match your capabilities and location. This allows you to speak the language of your target audience and further entice them to do what you are asking of them.

When To Use Your CTA

Asking for someone’s information before offering any details of who you are is not the best route to take. Your audience is much more likely to comply with your CTA if they have been enticed to do so. Offer a little bit about who your company is and why your audience should follow your CTA. There is no need to overload the consumer with information, but you do need to hook them in.
