Intern Spotlight – Garrett McKee

Intern Spotlight - Garrett McKee

Burkhart Marketing Partners is excited to welcome Garrett McKee as our Digital Media Intern for the Summer of 2022! Garrett is a senior at Ball State University with a major in Media / Marketing. He is excited to show his creative ideas of spreading information through social media. Welcome to the family, Garrett! Continue reading more about him and what he is looking forward to most this summer.

What drew you to advertising?

I have always been a creative person and liked the idea of spreading information through things like video and social media. That aspect alone drew me to advertising, being able to express my creative side while giving a message is really cool.

What Color Crayon would you be?

Blue because it’s my favorite color.

Would you rather win the lottery or get your dream job?

As of right now, I would rather win the lottery. I only say that because I don’t really have a dream job in mind right now.

What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?

Most of the time I have music blaring so that I don’t have to think, but when that’s not happening, I think of my family and my future / what I can be doing today to get one step closer to a better self.

What is your most-used emoji?

Laughing face 😂

What is a professional goal that you hope to accomplish in the next five years?

Build a network of like-minded, hard-working people.

How would your friends / family describe you?

My friends/family would describe me as “the glue.” I always know what is going on. I am a huge planner, and on most trips, I take on the event planner role.

Is your glass half-full or half-empty?

I go back and forth on this one because being half-full is seen as optimistic while half-empty is pessimistic. I like to see it as if a glass is half-empty, then it is able to become half-full over time. That glass is able to be filled with knowledge, information, and time.

Do you have a favorite ’90s sitcom? If so, what is it?

Definitely Friends

Is there anything you wish would come back into fashion?

No

What are you most excited about during your time with Burkhart?

I am really looking forward to helping with client work and experiencing real-world marketing/advertising.
