I have had the pleasure to intern with large corporations in the past, but my time at an agency such as Burkhart Marketing has changed my perspective on teamwork, culture and the creative process. As I reflect on my internship experience, I am incredibly grateful for my growth and development as a writer and marketer. My time at Burkhart Marketing has introduced me to highly-creative, experienced marketing professionals who have provided mentorship, friendship and leadership.
An Internship Meant for Career Development
For years I have navigated what it means to be a marketing professional in a field growing and changing constantly. With new trends in digital marketing, revolutionary marketing tools and business models changing due to the pandemic. I am learning how to navigate what it takes to be a marketing professional in 2021. As I reflect on the past few months, I believe my experience with Burkhart Marketing provided me with an outlet to explore modern marketing and advertising in an uplifting and open space.
I learned critical skills in client communication, how to develop brands and some of the best practices in creating and managing content to name a few. Because of the challenging opportunities I had, I have a better understanding of the steps and thought processes that lead to success in the marketing field. As a future marketing professional, surrounding yourself with experiences and people like those at Burkhart Marketing can elevate your knowledge and prepare you for a marketing career, no matter which niche area of marketing you are interested in.

And lastly, but certainly not least, I learned about the value of relationships. Burkhart Marketing is transparent and fair with its clients. As I head into my final semester at Butler University, I am able to use the skills and lessons learned at Burkhart Marketing in my courses and into post-undergrad life. Interning at Burkhart Marketing was a rewarding experience that has shaped me into a better marketer and strategic thinker.
